I can’t believe I finally know where my Mother’s people are from. I’m now proudly Cameroonian -American. ☺️ I have many Cameroonian friends and they really now view me as family. I feel so much more connected to my African friends I can’t wait to go to Cameroon next year and visit my ancestors home land. I know I will cry and be moved with emotions when I arrive knowing a person connected to me was torn away from her family and was purchased to be a slave for another family. But I am now here!! We are all her because of her! We are a family of strong, educated and courageous women who comes straight out of The Bamileke people of Cameroon!!!!!! 🤗🤭☺️
Thank you so so so much, for wanting to connect us to who we really are! I will never say I’m from Alabama again. I will say, I’m Bamileke from Cameroon! What power!!!!!!
