African Ancestry is pleased to join The Park Church and the R400 Movement in transforming how people of the Diaspora embrace their full legacy tracing their family roots back to African countries and ethnic groups (tribes). Regain the connection that was lost during the 400 years since the Transatlantic Slave Trade.
Through the
R400 Movement, a consortium of individuals, faith based organizations, corporations, civil society organizations and governments,
African Ancestry and The Park Church will hold a Community Reveal during the inaugural R400 Summit September 26 - 29, at The Park Expo and Conference Center in Charlotte, NC.
Here is how the African Ancestry Experience works:
You've heard about ancestry tests on television and online.
Come to a workshop led by the AfricanAncestry.com team from Washington, DC, designed to provide the historical and cultural contexts of tracing African roots and demystify science of genetic ancestry testing. You are sure to be inspired to find your family's roots.
PURCHASE A TEST KIT FOR YOUR FAMILY
One test kit is all it takes for an entire family line to find its roots. When you take a maternal test, you will share the results with everyone in the family who shares the same grandmother. That includes children, grandchildren, siblings, aunts, uncles and cousins too. When you take a paternal test, you will share the results with everyone in the family who shares the same grandfather.
Once you purchase your test, you have two choices:
IMPORTANT DATE: Your test kit's swabs must be returned to African Ancestry by Monday, July 1st in order to participate in the R400 Summit Community Reveal Celebration.
Celebrate your reconnection to Africa! Experience this unique opportunity to discover and celebrate the reveal of your country and ethnic group (tribe) along with the entire community at the R400 Summit. We expect this to be the largest reveal of African ancestries ever held.
The reveal ceremony will celebrate the traditions and cultural practices of the various specific African country and ethnic group (tribe) that we find. You'll also have the opportunity to meet your ancestry cousins and network with others from your country of origin.
REMEMBER..Your test kit's swabs must be returned to African Ancestry by Monday, July 1st in order to participate!
