Super happy I did this. As a Black man in this American world, identity is important. Non-Black groups can identify with a country easily but all I know is Mississippi, Tennessee, and Arkansas. I’m happy I took this test so I have knowledge of the unexplainable things I do that trace back to my tribe. I have the opportunity for citizenship and ownership of land in my home country. I can change the story of my family with this knowledge.

My results came quicker than expected, but some of the items in my package were a little late. However, when I contacted customer service, it was handled very quickly and efficiently. My items should be coming in the mail soon and overall, I am pleased with my results and the whole process.

I think that the family celebration package is well worth the amount spent-and even though highly anticipated-well worth the wait! As I type this , my results to self are unknown. This was a big purchase for a DNA type kit. The instructions were great but now my brother and I submitted our samples a couple months ago and I haven't even received an update about the results. Additionally, I have not been able to find a way to reach this company for questions. Very frustrating. Thank you for sharing your experience. I am very concerned and would like to help you have a better experience.
First, we regularly send updates about your test kit status via email. You are also able to check the status yourself within your account. You haven't received an update about your MatriClan results because you haven't activated your test as directed in the instructions. Would you like for me to have someone help you with the activation? We can resend the code to you. You will need your Kit ID# and both it and your activation code are in the instructions that we encouraged you to keep.
Second, I am concerned that you have not been able to find a way to reach us for questions. Our Premiere Customer Service Manager, Di Shawn Gandy (firstname.lastname@example.org) had an email exchange with you on May 9th, two days after you made the purchase. In it, he included his direct phone number. We also have a Contact Us page, (https://africanancestry.com/pages/contact-us).
I am open to all suggestions that you have for how can do a better job of making Customer Service available to you.
