|Featured Partner: National Marrow Donor Program|

Each year 10,000 Americans are diagnosed with leukemia, lymphoma or other life-threatening diseases that can be treated by a bone marrow or cord blood transplant, but they have no donor among their family who can give them a chance for a cure. In general, patients are more likely to find donor matches within their own racial, ethnic background. For African Americans specifically, we have more genetic diversity than any other race. However, the number of black donors within the national registry are still low. That's why African Ancestry is partnering with the National Marrow Donor Program to drive awareness and registration among the black community for this important cause. Registration is free, easy and painless (just a cheek swab). |
As you search for your past, someone else is searching for a future. YOU COULD SAVE A LIFE!
